What makes this image iconoclastic is the amount of layers of interpretation that can be applied to it. For instance, we can say that this type of graffiti stencil art was popularized in the West, yet here (in this dirty wall) this form is appropriated and reused as a criticism to the very West that provided the framework for this art form to exist. The West then is seen as both father and destroyer.
